Latest Micah Parsons quote has Cowboys fans wondering if he could actually leave soon
The Dallas Cowboys love Micah Parsons. Micah Parsons loves playing for the Dallas Cowboys. But in the NFL, nothing is guaranteed to last forever.
Such is the case with Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who looks likely to leave for a second stint as a head coach somewhere else in the offseason. Is it possible that Quinn takes some Cowboys with him wherever he goes?
Micah Parsons to follow Dan Quinn out of Dallas?
According to Parsons, that's a possibility.
"Dan's my guy. And if he do leave me, it's always love. He might take me with him, you never know... It's the nature of the business. It could possibly be my last ride with Q. And if it is, we're gonna make sure it's a damn good one."
Quinn is considered a strong bet to take over for Pete Carroll as the Seattle Seahawks head coach. Quinn spent several seasons in Seattle in the past, most recently in 2013 and 2014 as Carroll's defensive coordinator.
Could Quinn really persuade Parsons to leave Dallas? Parsons isn't a free agent until 2026, but he's due for a massive contract extension as soon as this offseason.
Wherever Quinn goes, he may try to persuade the front office to pursue a trade for Parsons due to their tight-knit relationship and Parsons' immense talent. It will be hard, though, as Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has consistently insisted they will do what they need to in order to keep the pass-rusher.
