Messi's return closer: Inter Miami receives great news in training
Inter Miami are eagerly anticipating Lionel Messi's return to the pitch.
The Argentine has not played since September 20, when he was injured 37 minutes into the match against Toronto FC.
The 36-year-old star is recovering from an old scar tissue ailment, but his return date still remained a question mark for both Las Garzas fans and coach Tata Martino.
Messi back in training with the group
However, Inter Miami received some great news on Friday. Lionel Messi joined his teammates for the training session in the muscle activation round.
So, the fans of the Florida team are already speculating a date for the return of their star player: this Saturday, October 7, in the match against Cincinnati at the DRV PNK Stadium.
Viewing figures without Messi are not good
Messi's impact on Inter Miami is remarkable. With his ten goals scored in the Leagues Cup, the Herons were crowned champions of the tournament that features MLS and Liga MX teams.
However, the club suffers in matches without the Argentinean. There are three defeats, two draws and only one victory in the six matches without the presence of the '10' on the field. These results have reduced the hopes of qualifying for the playoffs.
