Eagles cornerback Darius Slay begs Taylor Swift: Do not come to our game
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay has jokingly asked Taylor Swift not to attend the Week 11 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, fearing that she might bring good luck to the Chiefs.
Swift has been in the stands for the last two Chiefs games, witnessing a lopsided win over the Chicago Bears and a narrow victory over the New York Jets.
"Do not come to the game 'cause it seems like you bring the energy of winning," Slay said on his podcast.
"So do not come to that game."
His humorous concern arises from the fact that the NFL has highlighted Swift's presence at these games, and he hopes she skips their upcoming clash.
The Eagles, one of the two remaining undefeated teams, have a strong season ahead, and they might face the Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch.
However, the game's media coverage might focus on Travis Kelce and his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, leading to a crowded storyline. It now remains to be seen if Swift will attend the high-stakes Monday Night Football showdown on November 20.
Taylor Swift's presence at Kansas City Chiefs' games has garnered significant attention from the NFL, prompting Travis Kelce to suggest that the league may be "overdoing" its coverage of her attendance during a podcast discussion with his brother, Jason Kelce.
"I think it's fun when they show who's at the game," Travis said.
"I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you're watching. But at the same time, they're overdoing it a little bit."
