Judge summons four Real Madrid academy players to testify in case involving sexual video and a minor
The four Real Madrid academy players who allegedly distributed a video containing sexual content featuring a minor have been summoned by the Court of Instruction Number 3 of San Bartolome de Tirajana.
The footballers are scheduled to make their first statement at the court on November 8.
According to Europa Press, Judge Julio Wood will hear the two victims and a witness a few days earlier.
In addition, the judge has given the go-ahead to search the mobile phones of the four players involved in the case.
The case came to light last Thursday, after the alleged victim's mother filed a complaint two weeks earlier when she found out that a video of the minor was circulating on WhatsApp groups.
El Confidencial reported that three players were taken from Valdebebas to a police station and later released as they had not yet given statements.
The alleged events took place in Mogan, Gran Canaria, in June, although the mother and the minor explained that they were unaware that there was a video circulating until now.
Real Madrid issued a statement as soon as the information came out.
"When the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, we will take the appropriate measures," the club said.
