Nate Diaz attempts to kick Jake Paul as they goad each other in final faceoff
Former UFC star Nate Diaz attempted to kick YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on Friday during their final faceoff ahead of Saturday's boxing bout at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Diaz, 38, and Paul, 26, goaded each other during the faceoff hosted by UFC legend Chael Sonnen. The YouTuber nearly took an elbow to the head, but was fortunate his opponent was only faking the blows.
Paul did some feints of his own, as well, though there were no kicks involved. Diaz throwing a kick has some fans wondering if he'll do the same during the fight.
"Wouldn't be surprised if Nate Diaz is the first fighter to throw a head kick knockout in a boxing match," one user tweeted.
"Imagine Nate Diaz says f--- this and throws a roundhouse kick to Jake Paul's head," another added.
Jake Paul, Nate Diaz make weight
The fight between Paul and Diaz was not generating much attention leading up to Wednesday's press conference.
Members from each camp then started an all-out brawl during the pre-fight presser and the situation has since continued to boil.
Saturday's contest will be the culmination of all the trash-talk by each fighter over the past few months.
Diaz and Paul both made weight on Friday ahead of their final faceoff, but not before stripping down naked to reach the 185-pound limit.
