John Stockton criticizes LeBron James: It would be maddening to be his teammate
Utah Jazz legend John Stockton doesn't seem to be fond of the way Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James handles team matters.
Stockton recently shared his perspective on James' approach to team management within the Lakers.
His sentiments likely pertain to the numerous instances where James-led teams have experienced significant changes mid-season, often with the superstar playing a central role in orchestrating these kinds of transactions.
"It'd be maddening as a teammate to know that you can be expendable for one of his guys that he thinks he needs to play with," Stockton told DNP-CD Sports.
LeBron James is ruthless before the trade deadline
A notable example of this occurred back in 2019 when LeBron James and the Lakers executed a trade, parting with a significant portion of their young talent to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans.
In contrast, during 2018 when James was part of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team took a different approach.
At that year's trade deadline, the Cavaliers opted to trade away several older players in exchange for fresh and youthful talent.
While the environment created by these continuous changes might potentially take a toll on players mentally, the outcomes have undeniably been impressive.
James has secured four NBA titles and remarkably appeared in eight consecutive NBA Finals from 2011 to 2018.
