Caleb Plant slaps Jermall Charlo hard after Spence and Crawford weigh-in
The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas experienced this Friday much more than just the official weigh-in of Errol Spence and Terence Crawford for their bout this Saturday, July 29 for the unified welterweight crown.
And if the electrifying clash of these two boxing greats wasn't enough and all that has been said about the fight that looks to be the best of 2023, there are other egos that also seem to be found in the bonfire of vanities under the ring and waiting to rise at the right time.
Crawford were none other than Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo, who after exchanging words electrified the atmosphere after the so-called 'Sweet Hands' prescribed Charlo a tremendous slap that was recorded on video.
Caleb's reasons
Everything was confusing and nobody really knows what was the reason for this behavior on the part of the Tennessee fighter, but after the conflict and after many people tried to separate both boxers, now in long pants, there are witnesses that Plant would have shouted to Charlo "Don't take me in the face like that again, boy".
Canelo goes against the brother of the 'slapped one'.
Mexico's Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will face Jermell Charlo, Jermall's twin brother, on September 30 in Las Vegas, too, and some say it's almost a preliminary for the now slapped, who will seek to avenge his blood's almost certain defeat at the hands of the Guadalajara, Jalisco native.
