Tyson Fury willing to fight Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou on the same night
Tyson Fury has expressed his desire to take on both Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou in a single night, issuing a fierce challenge to the two MMA fighters.
Despite his planned summer comeback in boxing facing obstacles, the heavyweight champion has been engaged in verbal exchanges with current and former UFC champions Jones and Ngannou recently. However, Fury seems indecisive and now proposes facing both MMA stars consecutively.
"Here's a thought, how about this: How about I fight Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou on the same night," he noted.
"How about that? That's how much I value them two bums. Get up! Let's go boys."
Jones recently pleaded with UFC President Dana White to allow him to face Fury in a boxing match. However, White has expressed interest only in an MMA fight.
On the other hand, Ngannou left the UFC to explore opportunities in MMA and also signed with The Professional Fighters League, potentially paving the way for a bout against Fury in either the boxing ring or the MMA cage.
Earlier this year, talks for a historic four-belt unification fight between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk fell through. Boxing officials in Saudi Arabia are preparing an offer to revive this highly anticipated showdown, but it is unlikely to happen until the end of the year.
Consequently, Fury remains open to participating in an interim bout and hinted at the imminent announcement of a significant fight.
"Hoping to announce a big fight very very soon," Fury noted.
"Stay tuned, I'm working hard. I'm in the gym, summertime ready [and] getting them abs out. Or flabs, should I say for me."
