Josh Kroenke, to MARCA: "Repeat? We have a chance, they're all under contract"

The Denver Nuggets are the 2023 NBA Champions and it's not only the players and fans that are over the moon. In between the craziness that was the home team's locker room at Ball Arena, MARCA got to speak with Josh Kroenke, President of the Nuggets.

The NBA executive, who last year celebrated the Stanley Cup with his other presided team, the Colorado Avalanche, is far from tired of winning.

Interview with Josh Kroenke: "This feeling can't be matched"

Congratulations! How are you feeling right now?

It's incredible. It's a feeling that can't be matched. We've worked for years and to finally be here, it's a feeling that is absolutely indescribable.

Game 5 was by far the toughest win in these series for the Nuggets...

We knew it was going to be tough, the last game is always the toughest to close out. And to do it and win the championship, they're going to get give it their best shot. the Miami Heat are here for a reason. They're great competitors. They have great coaches, they have great executives and great ownership and they weren't going to go away quietly. So we had to compete to the final buzzer.

Who was the most dangerous player for the Nuggets in these Finals?

It depends... between Jamal (Murray) Nikola (Jokic), Michael (Porter Jr.), Aaron (Gordon) KCP. It was a group effort and that's what they do. They play for each other. That's why we won.

Is this the start of an NBA dynasty? A whole new era for the Denver Nuggets?

I hope so. We have a chance. They're all under contract. These guys play for each other and they want to win another one. Now, they've achieved their goal. So we'll enjoy this one and go figure it out again next year.

What tastes better? A title with the Colorado Avalanche? A title with the Los Angeles Rams? An NBA Championship with the Nuggets?

They all taste good (laughter). Trust me, it's impossible to pick. They all taste equally good.
