Miami Heat's Butler delivers a masterpiece to beat the Bucks
Not only did the Miami Heat have to come from 16 points down in Milwaukee, they forced overtime to ultimately take the game. And who was the culprit? A Jimmy Butler determined to keep owning these NBA Playoffs.
Miami's Butler signed a masterful play that is already the most outstanding of this postseason.
Butler tied the game at 118 with a masterpiece. He caught a pass from the throw-in with less than two seconds left and managed to stay in the air to score. A play that Michael Jordan himself would have finished off in his prime. And few other players would have been able to do it; maybe Kobe Bryant, maybe LeBron James.
Butler stopped the clock at 0.5 with his action and allowed his team to play an overtime in which they came out victorious. It was his masterpiece in a series that has been his almost from the start. He is the player of the first round of the Playoffs.
Bucks' frustrations
The Bucks were evidently annoyed by their elimination from the NBA Playoffs. Giannis Antetokounmpo hit out at a journalist after being asked in a press conference whether he would label Bucks' season as a failure.
The Bucks finished top of the NBA's Eastern Conference with a 58-24 record, but they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs at the hands of Miami Heat.
The Greek star was confident that his team will bounce back next year and compete for the title again, stressing that these are not failures but "steps towards success."
