Kroos travels to Liverpool to join the squad... and play!
Last minute news at Real Madrid. Toni Kroos has travelled to Liverpool this morning and has joined the Real Madrid squad with the idea that he will be able to play.
The German had been away from the squad for a week due to an illness, missing games against Elche and Osasuna, and had not been included in the squad for the match against Liverpool.
The midfield was a headache for Carlo Ancelotti ahead of this clash, as he only had four first team midfielders available. Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Luka Modric and Fede Valverde were the midfielders on the list and in fact all four were set to start.
Mario Martin and Sergio Arribas were left on the bench, although the latter plays in more advanced positions. Therefore, as soon as Kroos was available, he joined the squad.
Aurelien Tchouameni, who, like Kroos, also had health problems, is out of the squad. The Frenchman missed the game against Osasuna and is also out of the squad for the Anfield clash.
