Courtois suffers last-minute adductor injury and pulls out of Mallorca game
There was another injury setback for Real Madrid on Sunday, as Thibaut Courtois suffered an adductor injury during warm-ups ahead of Real Mallorca vs Real Madrid.
The goalkeeper spoke with the club doctors and it was decided that he couldn't play, with Andriy Lunin starting instead on the island.
The Ukrainian had a more intense workout with coach Luis Llopis just before kick off, to ensure he was ready for action.
More injuries for Real Madrid
The Belgian's physical issues add to Real Madrid's injury woes, ahead of the Club World Cup that starts this midweek.
They're already missing the injured Lucas Vazquez, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard.
This meant they only had six outfield substitutes for the game away at Mallorca on Sunday, and now they're also without their starting goalkeeper.
