Philadelphia sports were firing on all cylinders prior to Saturday when the Union fell to LAFC in the MLS Cup final and the Phillies lost the MLB World Series to the Houston Astros.

With two championship titles lost just hours apart from each other, November 5 might now be the worst day in Philadelphia sports history.

Hopefully, for Philadelphia fans, the Eagles will continue to dominate the NFL, currently undefeated with an 8-0 record for the first time in franchise history.

The Philadelphia 76ers, meanwhile, are off to a poor start to the 2022 NBA season, especially now that James Harden will be sidelined for a month due to injury.

While the Sixers didn't play Saturday, they dropped to a 4-6 record Friday in a two-point home loss to the New York Knicks.

Philadelphia Flyers save the day

Luckily, not all Philadelphia teams lost on Saturday, November 5.

The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Ottawa Senators on Saturday to improve their NHL record to 6-3-2.

Eagles will take on the Washington Commanders for Monday Night Football in Week 10, where they'll look to remain undefeated.

If they lose to the Commanders, a team at .500, then it may be a clear sign that the Philly magic has come to an end.
