Varane's World Cup concern as he leaves field in tears with injury
Raphael Varane was forced to leave Manchester United's match against Chelsea on Saturday, raising alarm bells for France ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
The defender seemed to jar his knee when cutting out a through ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and, and the impact from planting his studs left him on the ground in clear pain.
He was inconsolable and covered his face with his shirt, with Victor Lindelof brought on as his replacement.
It's a worrying sign for the French defender with the World Cup in Qatar less than a month away, and all eyes will be on what the extent of the injury is.
