The worst Tom Brady in 20 years
Tom Brady is struggling to rediscover his form, this being the first time in 20 years that the NFL legend is failing to carry his team on his shoulders.
Meanwhile, his Tampa Bay Buccaneers resemble nothing of the team who managed to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl last year.
Their last loss came against the Carolina Panthers, who had given away their star Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers a few days earlier. ?
Brady and the Bucs' struggles
The Buccaneers' attack collapsed, as their 10 attacks resulted to four consecutive clearances, break, clearance, loss, loss, clearance, field-goal and loss.
In other words, on six occasions they did not even advance to the line where they could score, and only scored on the ninth drive, dropping from 50 percent to a 3-4 record, which Brady's worst in 20 years.
The team's offensive line can't get a push and that makes him rush and fumble more. In other words, Brady has become more predictable.
Taking into account his individual figures, Brady has delivered, as he ranks fifth in passing yards, top in pass targeting and 19th in bad passes. Individually, it's a positive season, but the Buccanners have been struggling to deliver.
Brady has a daunting task ahead of him in his bid to lead his team to the playoffs. Their defense has always been solid and will continue to be so, but they need to step up on offense, something that is not working with Chris Godwin, Julio Jones and Mike Evans.
Meanwhile, Brady has made clear that he is not willing to retire from American football soon.
"I love the sport, and I love the teammates," Brady said last week.
"And I want to go do a great job for this team like I always have. No retirement in my future."
Brady decided to retire after an unsuccessful 2021/22 season, but a few weeks later he announced that he will return to action this term.
Meanwhile, his decision to come back may have affected his personal life as several reports have revealed that he is about to divorce his wife, Gisele Bundchen.
