Former Real Madrid players don't want Mbappe: I'd prefer Haaland to come

The news that Kylian Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain provoked various reactions concerning the future of the French star.

Following what happened in the summer, the France international will struggle to convince Real Madrid fans that he deserves a spot in the squad.

Former Real Madrid players Guti and Víctor Sanchez del Amo have made clear that they don't want to see Mbappe in a Real Madrid shirt.

"I prefer [signing] Haaland rather than Mbappe," Guti told El Chiringuito.

"He should focus on playing football and forget about the rest."

Real Madrid don't need Mbappe

As for Victor, the former Deportivo de la Coruna, Real Betis and Malaga coach explained why Real Madrid should not try to sign the Frenchman.

"Real Madrid don't need Mbappe," Victor told Movistar's La Casa del Futbol.

"He's an impressive player, I don't doubt that. I think his arrival would disrupt a lot of things that are very well placed right now.

"That is my opinion. Of course, he has the quality to play for Real Madrid or any other team because he is a great player, but I don't see him as necessary for this Real Madrid."
