Tchouameni and Camavinga are the driving force of an unstoppable Real Madrid

Following the departure of Casemiro, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga have become the driving force of Real Madrid's midfield.

Tchouameni pushed the team from the start in the 3-1 win at Espanyol, while Camavinga propelled them down the stretch, both with spectacular power and quality.

There were other important players too, with Vinicius' galloping runs, Thibaut Courtois' saves, Karim Benzema's instinct and Carlo Ancelotti's changes. Here comes a look at each player.

Tchouameni provided a spectacular assist to Vinicius. Powerful in recovery too, inspired on the ball and in his attacking play. It was a great game from a player who is already untouchable for Ancelotti.

His influence waned as the game progressed and he was rightly substituted.

Brought clarity and speed to the game. Good in his role as orchestra conductor.

Valverde had a good one-two with Tchouameni for Vinicius' goal and spread his energy all over the pitch. It was a surprise when he was substituted.

Scored a spectacular goal to give his team the lead, though he wasted a couple of chances to extend his team's advantage.

Disconnected for 85 minutes, but lethal in the last 10. Benzema appeared at the decisive moment to bring out his goalscoring instinct and give Real Madrid the win.

He came on for Modric in the 56th minute. Showed his strength and class to give Real Madrid an indisputable plus in the final stretch.

He came on for Valverde in, but was not an improvement on the Uruguayan. Yet, he did provide the match winning assist to Benzema.

Substituted in place of Kroos in the 80th minute, he forced a red card on Benjamin Lecomte, which led to the foul that made it 3-1.

He came on for Lucas in minute 85 to give his fatigued teammate a breather.

The policy of changing the starting XI worked from the start. When the team began to suffer, he made the right changes with Rodrygo and Camavinga coming on, which gave the team an undeniable boost.
