Paul Pogba extorted and blackmailed: Two gunmen demanded 13m euros
The 'Pogba Case' continues to generate stories, after Paul Pogba's lawyers responded to threats from his brother Mathias.
In a now viral video, Mathias Pogba claimed that his brother was not the person he appeared to be, threatening to reveal more about the Juventus star in due course.
"Unfortunately, Mathias Pogba's recent social media posts come as no surprise and follow other attempts over a prolonged period of time to try to extort money from Paul Pogba," Paul Pogba's lawyers said in a statement.
"The facts were reported to the Italian and French police a month ago and there will be no further comment on the ongoing investigations."
The incident when Paul Pogba was attacked in a Parisian apartment
With media now scrutinising the midfielder and his personal life, it has emerged that he was threatened in March of this year.
BFM TV is now reporting that Paul Pogba, according to sources familiar with the investigation, was taken to a Parisian flat after he met up with former associates.
Two individuals armed with an M16 and an assault rifle came out of a room in the apartment and held Pogba down.
What did the armed men demand from Paul Pogba?
The hooded men were demanding 13 million euros from Paul Pogba for what they claimed was an unpaid debt.
According to BFM TV, the people behind the extortion and blackmail of Pogba have in their possession a USB stick which, they claim, contains a video that could harm the current Juventus player.
They add that Pogba was been forced to accept the permanent presence at his side of a man called Babacar. In April 2022, he allegedly handed over 100,000 euros to this individual.
This is just one of the many reports to have come out in recent days, with Paul Pogba under the microscope now more than ever.
