Charles Barkley crushes KD with new nickname
It's not news that Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant is not the favorite person of current NBA analyst and Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, however, this Thursday that animosity reached another level, with the new nickname that "Sir Charles" gave to the two-time champion.
Charles Barkley's nickname for Kevin Durant
"He just seems like a miserable person," Barkley said on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. "I call him Mr. Miserable, he never gon' be happy. Everybody giving him everything on a silver platter. He was the man in Oklahoma City, they loved him, he owned the entire state, then he bolts on them and goes to the Warriors, he win back-to-back championships and he's still not happy. Then he goes to Brooklyn, they give him everything he wants, and he's still miserable."
Barkley has criticized Durant in the past for not being able to win the Larry O'Brien Trophy as his team's "bus driver," as he argues that his two championships with the Golden State Warriors are due to coming to a team of great players led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Why doesn't Charles Barkley respect Kevin Durant?
However, Barkley's criticism this time includes Durant's decision to back off his demand to be traded from the Nets after a meeting with Joe Tsai, the team's owner, as well as General Manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash.
"He get mad when we say it, he piggyback on the Warriors to win his first two championships, but if you go back and look at his career, as the best player and being a leader that all goes with that, he's been an abject failure," Barkley said. "I mean, every time he's been like the guy who has to be the leader and the best player he has not had success."
