Gareth Bale scores first MLS goal as LAFC claim road victory over Sporting KC
Los Angeles FC didn't need to do much in its 2-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night at Children's Mercy Park.
Cristian Arango opened the score in the second half, tallying his ninth goal of the season for LAFC.
The goal came 10 minutes into the closing half after going scoreless in the first 45 minutes.
LAFC had an opportunity to enter the break up by one goal but a huge clearance from Logan Ndenbe kept Sporting KC alive.
Goalkeeper Max Crepeau made a Sporting player look foolish in the first half with an excellent display of his skilled feet.
Gareth Bale scores his first MLS goal
Bale subbed on in place of Kwadwo Opoku in minute 65.
Carlos Vela left the field shortly after and gave the reigns of the team to Bale, who promptly netted his first MLS goal.
Bale's goal came in the 82nd minute and he nearly scored a brace but his effort to chip the goalie went slightly right.
LAFC remain in first place of the entire league and Sporting KC remain in the basement.
