Another renewal at Real Madrid: Militao signs until 2028
Ahead of Real Madrid's pre-season tour of the USA, Eder Militao agreed and signed a contract extension with the Spanish and European champions.
The Brazilian centre-back joined the club in the summer of 2019 and has become a starter over the past couple of seasons, improving with each year.
His previous deal ran until 2025, but Real Madrid have now extended his contract until 2028, showing their confidence in his abilities and his future.
His salary will increase as part of this new deal, rising from 3.5m euros plus bonuses to 7m euros plus bonuses per season.
Eder Militao's new release clause
The player has a new release clause too, following his signing of a new deal.
Keen to ward off any potential suitors, Real Madrid have set his clause at an offputtingly high 500m euros.
Just as with the contract extensions of Vinicius and Rodrygo, who have signed on the dotted line until 2027 and 2028 respectively, Real Madrid's plan is to officially announce these after they've returned from their pre-season tour of the USA.
