Westbrook finally snaps, threatens Skip Bayless over harsh nickname
Russell Westbrook did not have a succesful first year with the Los Angeles Lakers and nobody reminded him more of his shortcomings than Skip Bayless.
Bayless, 70, co-host of FS1's Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, spent nearly every weekday morning last season slandering Westbrook over his poor shooting.
Westbrook became outraged when students from his son's school started calling him "Westbrick," the nickname Bayless made popular on his debate show.
The 33-year-old Lakers guard expressed in a postgame press conference that he did not appreciate people calling him out of his name, especially those who wouldn't do so to his face, clearly referencing Bayless.
Bayless, who did not pull back despite Westbrook saying his trolling was also affecting his wife's mental health, has since doubled down on calling the former MVP "Westbrick."
Russell Westbrook claps back at Skip Bayless
Westbrook is not going to let Bayless get away with insulting him anymore, making it clear on Monday when he seemingly threatened the TV personality over his tweet.
"Lakers acquire a 2nd-round pick, take Michigan State's Max Christie, who shot only 32% from 3 last season," Bayless tweeted "Perfect! He'll fit right in with LeBron [James] and Westbrick."
Westbrook replied to Bayless, telling him not to write things he wouldn't have the audacity to say to his face.
"Yoooo, watch your mouth. Don't say anything here you wouldn't say to my face," Westbrook wrote.
Bayless has yet to respond to Westbrook on Twitter and won't record an Undisputed episode with Shannon Sharpe until Monday, where he will likely bask over the Lakers player giving him the time of day.
