Luis Campos' blacklist at PSG: There could be up to 10 departures this summer
Paris Saint-Germain have completed their first big sale of the summer as Alphonse Areola, who was Real Madrid's second-choice goalkeeper in the 2019/20 season, will leave the Ligue 1 club for good to join West Ham, where he spent last season on loan.
He moves in exchange for around 12 million euros and the transfer is the first step in a sales plan which will help PSG make space in their squad and raise funds which they are planning to reinvest in new signings.
As L'Equipe has reported, PSG's blacklist consists of players who are expected to be sold. It now includes around 10 men.
Despite not being in the list compiled by PSG advisor Luis Campos, goalkeeper Marcin Bulka has already departed to join Nice for 2m euros.
Then, according to French media, the list includes players such as Thilo Kehrer, Abdou Diallo, Sergio Rico, Idrissa Gueye and Arnaud Kalimuendo, all of whom have good reputations internationally and who could fetch a significant fee.
But PSG are facing two major problems. The first is the high salaries of their players, which makes it difficult for potential suitors to match. Secondly, some of the players tipped to leave, such as Leandro Paredes, Mauro Icardi and Ander Herrera, have expressed their desire to stay in Paris.
Neymar's possible departure from PSG
It was also reported by RMC Sport on Sunday that Neymar could depart the club this summer, even if he isn't necessarily going to be pushed out by new advisor Campos.
As well as Neymar's future being up in the air, PSG have several other issues they are struggling to deal with.
They have neither sacked Mauricio Pochettino, nor have they officially signed Nice coach Christophe Galtier.
Meanwhile, it seems that Inter are raising their demands for centre-back Milan Skriniar, who is PSG's first big target to strengthen their defence this summer.
