Aaron Ramsey curse: He missed decisive penalty in Europa League final shootout
Aaron Ramsey was the villain of the night at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in Seville.
The Welsh midfielder, one of Rangers' big names, was the only player to miss in the penalty shootout, allowing Eintracht Frankfurt to become Europa League champions.
Just as his goals have had famous victims over the years, Ramsey's miss on the night proved fatal for Rangers' hopes of European silverware.
Ramsey, who came on in the 117th minute, seemingly with the sole purpose of taking a penalty, is associated with an unwanted record of seeing celebrities die after he scores.
Aaron Ramsey curse
Illustrious names such as David Bowie, Robin Williams, Whitney Houston, Bebo Valdes and others have fallen victim to the so-called Ramsey curse. In all, up to almost 20 deaths of big-name celebrities have followed his goals.
This time there were no deaths, but Rangers' dreams were destroyed.
