Bucks batter the Warriors into oblivion with a stellar Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Golden State Warriors are officially on red alert after tonight's poor performance against the Milwaukee Bucks. We honestly didn't expect them to lose by so many points and not even respond to a powerful Giannis Antetokounmpo with the big three. Both Bobby Portis and Khris Middleton were also quite special this evening, especially with their performance during the first half. At the end of the first quarter, the Bucks had a 30-point advantage and kept it that way for the majority of the entire game. Stephen Curry wasn't able to help his team asa he wanted tonight, and Gary Payton II got a back injury that kept him from playing in the third quarter.
Klay Thompson also played against the Bucks tonight but he is far from the player we all knew before the injury. Getting him back to that level will be a long process this season, and his impact won't be palpable with the team playing like this. The stellarplayer of the evening was none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo, who seemed frankly unstoppable against Golden State. He ended the game with an early triple-double that got him to rest on the bench and enjoy morethan 5 minutes from there. Giannis ended the game with a 30 point, 12 rebounds and 11 assist triple-double. We are starting to look at MVP Giannis getting control of the league now.
What's next for Bucks and Warriors?
The Milwaukee Bucks reached a 27-17 record after tonight's win at home against Golden State. They are set to rest for a day and play against the Toronto Raptors at Fiserv Forum next Saturday. Warriors are still one of the best teams in the league with a 30-11 record after tonight's defeat. However, this negative streak comes at a terrible moment as they will visit the Chicago Bulls on Friday. Giannis gets one step closer to Stephen Curry on their race to the MVP award by the end of the season.
