Barcelona set for another hectic deadline day
Barcelona may have another busy deadline day on their hands, as Xavi Hernandez still wants two more additions and some outgoings before the transfer window slams shut at midnight tonight, January 31.
There is a catch for Barcelona, though, as they need to offload players first before they are able to bring any new faces to the Camp Nou.
The Dembele domino
The biggest potential departure is that of Ousmane Dembele, who is being courted by clubs in the Premier League, but a deal is still far from being certain.
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the Frenchman, and personal terms have been agreed, but the transfer fee is stalling the move.
Xavi wants a centre forward and a winger to come in before the deadline strikes, with the Barcelona boss keen to get a deal for Arsenal outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over the line early doors.
The Gabonese striker hasn't featured for Mikel Arteta's side since another disciplinary breach saw him stripped of the captaincy in November.
Xavi also wants a left-back and is hoping to complete a move for Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico or Benfica's Alex Grimaldo prior to the deadline.
