Antonio Brown says shirtless episode with Buccaneers 'wasn't professional'
The drama that has starred Antonio Brown in recent weeks continues to make news, even after the wide receiver was officially cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In one of his latest public appearances, AB has accepted that the episode that caused his departure from the Buccaneers, after leaving the team in the middle of the game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium by taking off his jersey on the sideline, "wasn't professional."
It probably wasn't necessary or professional
On Monday night, Brown was spotted in Los Angeles after spending a week in New York. The one-time Super Bowl champion went to one of the trendiest restaurants, Craig's, accompanied by his friend, the famous rapper and producer Kanye West.
Before entering the place, the wide receiver agreed to speak briefly with the paparazzi present about his shirtless controversy, speaking with a different discourse than the one he has used in recent days.
"It probably wasn't necessary or professional," said Brown, who smiled when asked by the media.
Feud between Brown, Buccaneers... and Brady
Last Thursday, Tampa cut the wide receiver after dropping out of the team last weekend in the middle of an offensive play against the New York Jets, taking off his jersey despite Mike Evans' attempts to keep him in the game.
Previously, Brown issued a lengthy statement on Wednesday night, claiming he was told to play despite telling his coach he couldn't due to an ankle injury that caused him to miss practice time last week.
Besides, during his first public interview since leaving the field shirtless against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, Brown said Tom Brady is only his friend because he's a good football player.
