Transfer rumours LIVE
This is the start of our transfer rumours blog, with the most recent updates being the ones closest to the top.
09:30 GMT: Arteta wants Coutinho at Arsenal
Philippe Coutinho's representatives have travelled to London to discuss his possible move from Barcelona to Arsenal, say the Daily Star, who also report that Mikel Arteta has given the green light for the move to happen.
09:00 GMT: Newcastle eyeing Umtiti
Newcastle United are ready to bid 14.3 million euros to sign Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti, according to the Sun.
08:30 GMT: How Barcelona can register Ferran
Barcelona have almost everything in place for them to sign Manchester City forward Ferran Torres for an initial fee of 55 million euros, which could rise to 65 million euros with add-ons, but they would not be able to register him in LaLiga Santander at present.
Barcelona's wage bill is currently at 85% of what they are bringing in and it needs to be at 70%, while the money that was freed up by Sergio Aguero's retirement will go towards registering Dani Alves.
As El Chiringuito's Dario Montero reports, the Blaugrana could get around this by renewing Sergi Roberto and Ousmane Dembele on less lucrative deals, as well as seeing at least three players leave, which could be Samuel Umtiti, Philippe Coutinho, Luuk de Jong, Yusuf Demir and/or Sergino Dest.
08:00 GMT: Dortmund chief on Haaland to Real Madrid
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has admitted previously that Real Madrid are interested in signing Erling Haaland, and he has now come out to say that he hopes the Norwegian striker will win a Champions League trophy whilst at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
"I would love to see Haaland win a Champions League with Real Madrid," Watzke is quoted as saying by El Chiringuito.
