Sergio Ramos sent off as PSG drop points
Paris Saint-Germain's domestic form this term has hardly been sparkling, even though they have eased to a likely unassailable gap at the top of Ligue 1, and this continued on Wednesday as the team dropped points with a 1-1 draw away to Lorient.
Sergio Ramos has yet to make an impact since signing for PSG this term as his battle against injury has been problematic, but he was back in the team to face Lorient. However, he was shown a red card with four minutes left to play as he had been given two yellows.
Thomas Monconduit opened the scoring for the hosts after 40 minutes, as he made himself space on the edge of the penalty area before placing a well-hit shot into the right-hand corner of the net, via the post.
PSG's 77 percent possession wasn't enough to cause Lorient many problems and both teams had the same number of shots, 17, with Lorient even having one more shot on target.
It looked as though PSG were going to be on the receiving end of an unlikely defeat as the match entered into injury time at the end of the second half, especially since they'd just gone down to 10 men, but Mauro Icardi scored a dramatic late equaliser with a header into an empty net.
