LeBron James isn't leaving the Lakers despite several trades happening
Ever since LeBron James arrived at the Lakers, there was always the question of how much time he would play at the highest level. There's no doubt this is James' swan song while playing with the Los Angeles but the team is truly struggling this season despite the new arrivals. Both Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook are delivering good results but having them is not enough. Lakers needed the best version of Anthony Davis in order to resemble what they did during the first year of the pandemic. With this in mind, the team's high management is making decisions behind closed doors that will inevitably affect the future of several Lakers players.
Asking about LeBron James' future becomes inevitable due to his advanced age and his increasing injury problems. According to The Atletic's Shams Charania, the idea of LeBron leaving the team is completely outlandish. He keeps confirming the 'King' isn't going anywhere next season. Even though the Lakers are struggling to win games on a regular basis, it's clear that James is not the problem. On his most recent game alone, he scored 34 points like it was nothing.
LeBron's agent confirms he isn't going anywhere.
The person who confirmed this information is none other than his agent, Rich Paul as Charania confirmed in The Athletic: "I spoke to LeBron's agent, Rich Paul, and he said that talk in itself is totally ridiculous. LeBron isn't leaving the Lakers," Charania said. "This team doesn't look it has the young legs that they need to have, and that's why I've heard that they have been active in the trade market." There you have it, at least for next season, LeBron James isn't leaving the Lakers.
