Draymond Green latest NBA star in health and safety protocols
Draymond Green joined his Golden State Warriors teammates Damion Lee, Andrew Wiggins, and Moses Moody in the NBA's health and safety protocols on Monday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said Green is in good spirits despite having mild symptoms. Kerr brushed Green's upcoming absences as a "bump on the road" and announced that all Warriors coaches are out of protocols, and will be available for Tuesday's game against the Denver Nuggets.
Green keeps making headlines
With Jordan Poole clearing protocols on the same day Green tested positive for the virus, Kerr will hope to have his big man back sooner with the league's update on the number of mandatory days in quarantine for vaccinated players. Players, coaches, staff, and referees who are fully vaccinated will have a reduced isolation time - 6 days instead of 10 - due to analyzing data that no individual has remained contagious after 5 or 6 days.
Green had made headlines earlier on Monday after responding to Karl-Anthony Towns' comments on Russell Westbrook. KAT responded to Green, brushing off the Warriors' star's comments.
