Arsenal keep tabs on Dest
Sergino Dest appears to have fallen out of favour at Barcelona, particular since the appointment of Xavi Hernandez as head coach.
The Dutch full back had been a regular starter under fellow countryman Ronald Koeman but the Catalan coach seems to have other ideas, leading many to believe that Dest could have to find a new club sooner rather than later.
Bayern Munich, who came close to signing Dest before he joined Barcelona from Ajax, are said to be in the mix but they are not alone in their interest.
Arsenal are the latest club said to be monitoring Dest, according to NBC Sports, with Mikel Arteta a fan of the pacey defender.
Takehiro Tomiyasu was signed by the Gunners in the summer and has been impressive at right back, but that would not deter them from putting in a bid.
Barcelona are said to want around 40 million euros for the American, but their poor economic situation could see them accept a far lower amount.
