Stars fall in Los Angeles: Horrible night for Rams and Lakers

As we have chronicled in previous weeks, the city of Los Angeles has been star-studded in all of its sports teams, however, Monday night was a grim one for the city as far as the Rams and Lakers are concerned.

Disappointing debuts for Odell Beckham and Von Miller

In the first instance, the Rams should have had a special night as they showed off their new toys, Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller, on Monday Night Football.

However, the performance of both of them was little more than irrelevant and their team was completely outplayed by the San Francisco 49ers, to whom they lost by a score of 31-10.

Sean McVay's team has a lot of work to do, they will have their bye week, but with two losses in a row, the expectation of playing the Super Bowl at home has diminished considerably.

The return of LeBron James is urgent

The Lakers, who are suffering too much from the absence of LeBron James, urgently need the return of the "King", because this time they were beaten at home by the Chicago Bulls by a score of 121-103.

LeBron will return soon from a hip injury, perhaps this week, but the fans of this team, which shares with the Boston Celtics the most championships in the NBA, is that not only they can not win without their star player, but they are also being humiliated day after day.

The likes of Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard simply can't do without LeBron and that's a concern.

Lots of talent, few results

The talent level is undeniable in both sets, but the level of concern is also high in both cases.

Can they get out of their respective crises?

Only time will tell...
