Ronaldo's emotional farewell to Solskjaer after his Man United sacking
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is no longer the head coach of Manchester United, after being sacked by the Red Devils on Sunday. He leaves behind a squad who cared for him, including his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
The pair crossed paths at Old Trafford when a young Ronaldo first joined the club, before going on to work together over the first few months of this disappointing 2021/22 season.
The No.7 had some kind words for the man who is now his former coach, sharing a post on Instagram on Monday morning.
"He's been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and he's been my coach since I came back to Manchester United," Ronaldo started.
"But, most of all, Ole is an outstanding human being. I wish him the best in whatever his life has reserved for him.
"Good luck, my friend! You deserve it!"
