Ricky Rubio gets artistic in the Cavaliers' win vs Celtics

Ricky Rubio has been on fire for the Cleveland Cavaliers over the last seven games in the NBA, tonight he led his team against the Boston Celtics. The last minutes in the fourth quarter were nerve-racking for both sides as they keps going back and forth at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Cavs have a better record in recent games with 6 out of the last 7 games getting wins thanks to players like Rubio, Darius Garland and rookie Evan Mobley. On the Celtics' side, Jayson Tatum struggled to get his 21 points of the evneing due to the impressive defensive work from the Cavaliers throughout the entire four quarters.

Dennis Schröder was also on point with his offensive game tonight but he was lacking defensively, especially during the second half of the game. This Celtics team isn't going through a great part of the season despite having two elite-level stars like the ones we mentioned. Schröder got 28 points, 3 assists and only 4 rebounds.

Tatum scored 21-4-2 and he was lacking defensively as well during the second half of the game. A player who did show up for the Celtics on the defense was Robert Williams, who got an impressive 16 rebounds this evening but his 12 points didn't help much in the overall result.

The final five minutes of the game were all Ricky Rubio's, who led the Cavs to an impressive reaction against a brave Celtics team that refused to give up. Rubio dropped key points through threes and a final dime for Jarrett Allen that elevated the advantage with only a few seconds left on the clock. In the end, Boston tried to get that final equalizer in order to prevent the defeat but the Cavaliers' defense was on point to get that victory.

That makes it 6 wins out of the last 7 games with Rubio leading the charge. Slowly but surely, the Cleveland team is becoming one of the top teams of the Eastern Conference. Without Ricky, this definitely wouldn't be possible. We are getting to experience oldschool Ricky here, the one who was fresh out of the Spanish ACB with all his fancy moves.
