LeBron's James monster comeback in Lakers' overtime win
LeBron James had a monstrous end to the game and hit two spectacular three-pointers in overtime to even the Los Angeles Lakers' season record by defeating the Indiana Pacers 124-116.
Kobe-style celebration
Returning from the first suspension of his career after the controversial elbow on Isaiah Stewart last Sunday in the win against the Detroit Pistons, the "King" scored 39 points but carried the team in overtime and after the three-pointer that put Los Angeles on the road to victory celebrated in the style of the late Kobe Bryant.
LeBron James' return coincided with the absence of Anthony Davis, who received a day off because the Lakers played on back-to-back nights after Tuesday's loss to the New York Knicks and had flu-like symptoms.
The game went into overtime on a wonderful three-pointer from the corner by Indiana's Dominican rookie Chris Duarte with five seconds to play before the home crowd cheered.
It was a total of eight points in overtime for James who drew a Type 1 flagrant foul on Domantas Sabonis in the fourth period for a handball in the fight for a rebound.
Trouble with fans
In overtime a couple of fans in attendance with front row seats at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana were removed for disturbing the "King", who complained and his request was heard by the security of the building.
The second leading scorer for the Lakers was Russell Westbrook who scored 20 points to help his team in the winning cause.
The Packers' leading scorer was Malcolm Brogdon, who accumulated 28 units that were not enough.
What's next?
This was the last of five consecutive away games for the Lakers who will return home to face the Sacramento Kings next Friday.
The Packers will also see action next Friday when they host the Toronto Raptors.
