Hazard out for Sevilla clash

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Eden Hazard will not be at his disposal for Real Madrid's LaLiga Santander match against Sevilla at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

The Belgium international has trained with the rest of his teammates after recovering from gastroenteritis, but he is not fully fit and will not make the squad.

Hazard also missed out on the last two games away at Granada and Sheriff Tiraspol due to his stomach issue, which means that he has yet to feature for Los Blancos since his return from international duty.

The former Chelsea forward played 63 minutes against Estonia, but after Belgium secured qualification for the 2022 World Cup, coach Roberto Martinez decided to rest his player against Wales.

Hazard returned to Madrid to train under Ancelotti ahead of the Granada game, but the Italian coach was unable to call upon him due to the aforementioned stomach issue.

"I am not in his head but what I see is that he is a player who has had bad luck and wants to come back to do his best for this team," said Ancelotti during Saturday's pre-match press conference.

"He has always had the dream of playing for Real Madrid. The important thing is that in these moments is to hang in there. If you want something everything will work out and he's doing everything he can."

Hazard has played just 66 minutes of Champions League football so far this season, with Vinicius Junior establishing himself on the left-hand side of attack due to his great start to the campaign, as the Belgian forward is struggling to get playing time.

Before the international break, Hazard played seven minutes against Rayo Vallecano, six against Elche and 21 against Osasuna, while he didn't feature in the Clasico against Barcelona.
