Hello everyone and welcome along to this Spain vs Sweden live blog. It's a battle between two sides who are looking to finish top in World Cup Qualification Group B. Spain are one point ahead of Sweden in the group standings, so must avoid defeat to book their place in Qatar 2022.

We'll have updates from the Estadio Olimpico de Sevilla in this live blog, so follow along with us this Sunday evening.

Spain vs Sweden LIVE - 0-0

This is the very start of our Spain vs Sweden live blog, with the entries nearest the top the most recent ones. We'll have build-up news and then minute-by-minute updates too.

Half time - Spain 0-0 Sweden

Spain have dominated the ball, but it's Sweden who have had the better chances, both falling to Forsberg. Spain will need to find some creativity in the final third if they are to break the resolute Swedish backline down. Remember if Sweden win, they top the group.

Minute 39 - Forsberg close again!

This time a cross from the left finds Forsberg free at the back post, and unmarked the Swede volleys towards goal, but it goes just wide. Another let off for Spain. Sweden are growing into the match now.

Minute 30 - No shots on target

Neither side have managed to get a shot on target in the opening half hour. It is Sweden though who have come closest, despite Spain's superior possession.

Minute 22 - No clear chances

Gavi has looked good in the early minutes of the game, completing all 43 of his attempted passes. His tenacity helped win the ball for Dani Olmo to have a shot but it's deflected over the bar.

Minute 16 - Forsberg close!

Sweden give Spain a scare as the defence parted for Forsberg and the midfielder had a go from the edge of the area, but it's just wide. A let off for Spain.

Minute 10 - Spain dominant

As you would expect, Spain are having plenty of the ball. In fact, Sweden have managed just 18 percent possession over the opening 10 minutes. De Tomas played in Sarabia who went close with his effort.

19:45 GMT: Kick off!

The game is underway in Seville. We'll know the winners of Group B in just under two hours, with a place at Qatar 2022 on the line.

A more familiar Raul De Tomas

Having caused a bit of a stir by his wearing the No.6 shirt against Greece, traditionalists will be pleased to see that Raul De Tomas will have the No.11 on his back as Spain host Sweden this evening.

Spain vs Sweden: Official line-ups

Luis Enrique has opted for Raul De Tomas to lead La Roja's line of attack against Sweden, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been left out for the visitors, with Dejan Kulusevski and Alexander Isak instead starting.

Spain XI: Simon; Azpilicueta, Laporte, Pau Torres, Alba; Gavi, Busquets, Soler; Sarabia, De Tomas, Dani Olmo.

?Sweden XI: Olsen; Krafth, Nilsson, Lindelof, Augustinsson; Kulusevski, Ekdal, Olsson, Forsberg; Isak, Claesson.

18:45 GMT: Sweden know how to upset the giants

Sweden will be hoping to spoil another huge nation's World Cup qualification hopes on Sunday as the visitors, having been the side who prevented Italy from reaching the 2018 World Cup back at the Stadio San Siro at the end of 2017. They've shown themselves to be a stubborn side to face, and La Roja will need to be at their best.

17:30 GMT: What was the result when Spain last played Sweden?

Sweden edged La Roja when the two met in Stockholm's Friends Arena in the fourth game of this World Cup Qualification group in September, despite Spain taking an early lead. Then, Carlos Soler scored after four minutes but Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak levelled immediately and Viktor Claesson won it in the second half for Sweden, despite the hosts having just 25 percent of the possession. A similar result tonight would send Spain into the playoffs.

16:10 GMT: What are the Spain vs Sweden predicted line-ups?

Luis Enrique has been presented with enough injury problems ahead of this game against Sweden, with Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati and Yeremi Pino all having to withdraw from the original squad, but Barcelona's Gavi should be fit to start.

Sweden will be hoping that veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic can make an impact, and he had already scored 10 times for his country before Gavi was even born in 2004.

Spain probable XI: Simon; Carvajal, Laporte, Martinez, Gaya; Gavi, Busquets, Koke; Sarabia, Morata, Olmo.

Sweden probable XI: Olsen; Krafth, Lindelof, Nilsson, Augustinsson; Kulusevski, Ekdal, Kristoffer Olsson, Forsberg; Isak, Ibrahimovic.
