F1 Brazilian GP - Brazilian Grand Prix Race Live Latest updates

This is the start of our Brazilian GP live blog, with the most recent entries at the top. We'll be bringing you all the updates before, during and after the race, so stay tuned!

16:45 GMT: Two Stop Strategy

With just 15 minutes to the race getting underway, strategy is still hot on the lips of most in the paddock as two stops are expected for the majority of the field. Much hotter track temperatures mean a one-stop is far more unlikely but don't rule out someone trying it, but who will be the gambler? Not long to wait to find out.

16:20 GMT: Hamilton in the Danger Zone

The pit lane has opened and the drivers are making their way to the grid for today's Grand Prix. Right in the middle of that grid will be Lewis Hamilton after his storming drive in yesterday's sprint race, but if an incident happens on the opening lap, chances are it won't be too far from the sevem-time champion so he will be content if he can make it round the first tour with his car still in tact and he can move forward from there, but can he go all the way?

16:00 GMT: One Hour To Go

Lights out is nearing in Sao Paulo and the festival atmosphere that Brazil always brings is ramping up the volume. The packed out grandstands can forget about their umbrellas and get their tan on with mid 20s in temperature and no rain on the horizon. Ideal conditions for a 71-Lap thriller.

14:30 BST: Hamilton's message of hope

"STILL. WE. RISE." was simply the caption for Lewis Hamilton's Instagram post late on Saturday night. Will he be able to rise up from 10th on the grid today?

14:00 BST: Brazilian GP preview

The Brazilian Grand Prix is getting underway this weekend in Sao Paulo, with the F1 event being held at Interlagos.

With the 2021 Formula 1 title race hotting up, it's advantage Max Verstappen as we head into the Brazilian Grand Prix, with the Dutch driver holding a 21-point lead over his British rival Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton has a history of success at Interlagos, with his first F1 championship actually being clinched at the track way back in 2008, however the Dutch driver knows that a victory will guarantee him at least a 25-point advantage heading into the final three races of the campaign.
