Draymond Green advices Stewart to not get on LeBron's 'bad side'
Isaiah Stewart needs to listen to Draymond Green when he talks about LeBron James' response when he gets into a heated altercation. Back in the brilliant 2016 NBA finals, Bron and Dray got into it during Game 4 of the finals. That game went to Golden State but the heated altercation between the two players is something Green still regrets to this day. It all happened during the fourth quarter of the game but that's all LeBron needed to get locked-in for the rest of the series. We all know how that ended, Cleveland Cavaliers completed one of the greatest combacks in NBA Finals' history.
As Draymond watched Isaiah Stewart trying to get a piece of LeBron, he immediately got those memories back and decided to give Isaiah some good advice. Starting at 6:45 on the latest episode of Green's video podcast on Youtube, he gave Isaiah the best possible advice: "You have teammates coming running in, holding the guy back, pullin' him away from LeBron and I think they may have made him feel like he should be upset because that's when he went apesh*t. Isaiah, take it from me. I got into it with LeBron James roughly five years ago," Green said. "And it didn't go so well for me. Not that 'Bron kicked my ass'. But he did kick my ass not physically, though, he did kick my ass because he came back from a 3-1 deficit to win a world championship and that shit still stings today."
When are LeBron and Isaiah playing each other again?
Funny enough, the NBA season is so long that teams play against each other roughly about 16 times per-season. It hasn't even been a week since these two met and they are set to play at Staples Center again on Sunday. The entire Lakers' crowd will probably give Stewart a warm welcome but what matters is what happens inside the court. Green has this memory of how LeBron responds to players who disrespect him in any way, he does it with the basketball in his hands. However, we hope both players put this behind them and leave that shameful episode as water under the bridge. Stewart should take Green's advice and simply let it go.
