Confusion about Kawhi Leonard's recovery for the Clippers

Everybody seems a bit confused with Kawhi Leonard's injury recovery, especially after the latest report from Fox Sports' Skip Bayless. The commentator reported that the player was likely set to miss the rest of the season as he hasn't recovered from the partially torn ACL despite undergoing surgery.

Leonard suffered this setback during last season's Western Conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz and he has been inactive since June 14. Bayless must have different information because the LA Clippers just reported something completely different about Kawhi Leonard's recovery.

Coach Tyronn Lue spoke to the Southern California News Group about the progress Leonard is making in recent weeks for the Clippers. Contrary to Bayless' report, the star seems to be doing perfectly well as he's even doing some box jumps that wouldn't be possible if his knee wasn't responding well to treatment.

Regardless of this report, the Clippers still haven't confirmed a timeline for his possible return. Although it should happen sometime between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. Here's what Lue said on the TNT broadcast:

"Just seeing him active and being able to jump and progress in the way he is, it's just good to see.

Coach Tyronn Lue about Leonard's recovery.

Can the Clippers maintain their unbeaten run?

Still without Leonard, the LA Clippers play against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center with their winning streak still active. In recent games, the Los Angeles team is putting up the work against tough opponents and getting their fans thrilled for what they see on the court. Paul George is leading the team but Kawhi Leonard would be a great addition to this well-balanced roster.

If this recovery os going as well as the Clippers confirmed, we might have the star back in the court sooner then expected. But we still have to see if Leonard can return to the level he had before suffering this injury. Not all NBA players can get back to their best with ACL tears like the one he suffered. We are all crossing our fingers and praying he will.
