Chelsea join Real Madrid in race for Tchouameni
Aurelien Tchouameni is attracting admirers from all over Europe after emerging onto the scene with Monaco last season and subsequently breaking into the French national side.
Real Madrid are one of the clubs who are showing a keen interest in the 21-year-old midfielder and consider him a possible option going forward, but they're not the only top team with an eye on him.
Premier League side Chelsea are also thought to be keeping tabs on Tchouameni and have placed him high on their list of potential targets.
The race for Tchouameni's signature is on and Chelsea are strong candidates, with the player expected to depart Monaco next summer.
According to the website Transfermarkt, the youngster's value has increased from 18 million euros to 36 million euros since the start of this season.
Progressing well next to Fabregas
Tchouameni is learning his trade under the wing of Spanish midfielder and Monaco teammate Cesc Fabregas.
He's reportedly a very humble, unassuming young man who is fully focussed on working hard and improving his game in any way he can.
Tchouameni recently admitted that he was flattered by the interest shown by Real Madrid, who certainly see him as a possible long-term fixture in their midfield.
