Bengals crushes the Steelers with a poor Roethlisberger demonstration
The Cincinnati Bengals showed one of his finest versions against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bengals defeated Pittsburgh 41-10 at the Paul Brown Stadium.
Joe Burrow completed 96% of his passing attempts. However, the Bengal's quarterback threw 170 passing yards. Not the best numbers for Burrow.
However, Tee Higgins and Joe Mixon hoarded the game.
The MVPs
With two touchdowns and 165 rushing yards gained, Joe Mixon led the Bengals into a comfortable victory.
Mixon rushed the football 28 times, averaging 5.9 yards per attempt.
While Mixon dominated the Steelers running, Tee Higgins was the owner of the passing yards. The Bengal's WR locked six passes and transformed them into 114 yards and scoring a touchdown.
Big Ben's passing yard numbers were good, but the transformation of the Steelers did not transform those yards into the scoreboard.
Roethlisberger accumulated 263 passing yards. However, he completed less than 60% of the attempts, generated two interceptions, and obtained one touchdown.
Pittsburgh gained 16 1st downs during the game. Although, Cincinnati stopped Big Ben in 42% of the third downs.
Big Ben struggled against the Cincinnati defense. Part of the efficiency of the Bengals' defensive translated into zero 1st down penalties.
During the game, Cincinnati averaged a 10-minute advantage of ball control.
Bengals keep escalating in the AFC
After the victory, Cincinnati maintains a positive momentum in the NFL. They took the second position in the AFC.
Joe Burrow and company have scored more than 30 or more points in five of the last six games.
The Bengals are 3-0 against the Steelers in recent history.
