Cristiano and Messi already have heir in the Clasico: Vinicius

Real Madrid grabbed a well-deserved 2-1 victory away at the Camp Nou against Barcelona despite playing with fire, as they failed to put the game to bed until stoppage time when Lucas Vazquez doubled their lead.

Vinicius Junior put in a spectacular performance for Los Blancos in the first half, with his display demonstrating that he is the heir to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the central character of the Clasico.

Vini is a world-class forward

The Brazil international was the player who stood out in the Clasico with his speed, dribbling skills and ability to go past opponents in one-on-one situations. He forced Ronald Koeman to sub off Oscar Migueza at half time and participated in the majority of Real Madrid's clear chances, with Barcelona's defence struggling to contain him from start to finish.

Alaba sped up and...

The Austria international is undoubtedly the signing of the season in LaLiga Santander and he proved it with a spectacular goal in the derby against Barcelona. Alaba produced a brilliant effort to beat Marc-Andre ter Stegen and open the scoring in the first half. With his outing, he made clear that Real Madrid's defence is in good hands after Sergio Ramos' departure.

Ansu Fati lost the battle with Vini

The Barcelona prodigy hardly threatened Thibaut Courtois and didn't offer his team what may have been expected from him. It has to be noted that Ansu Fati has just returned to action following a long-term injury. He is undoubtedly a world-class talent, but this Clasico came very soon for him.

86,422 spectators: The best post-pandemic attendance

As many as 86,422 fans attended the derby at the Camp Nou, which wasn't full for this Classico as there were 12,000 tickets who were unsold. The reasons behind the empty seats may vary from people wanting to avoid packed stadiums due to COVID-19, to fans being unhappy with Barcelona's performances so far this season.

Barcelona lose the Clasico and Koeman is proven right

The Blaugrana lost in the derby against Real Madrid, but Ronald Koeman is not at the receiving end of criticism as it has been proved that his team is light years away from what is expected of Barcelona. Koeman's men looked competitive for the largest part of the game and although they were toothless in attack, this was not a poor display by the Catalans.
