World-class marathon runner Kalalei gets four-year doping ban
The Kenyan marathon runner Samuel Kalalei has been banned for four years following a doping test. He was tested in April at the Rotterdam Marathon positive for the doping agent EPO.
The 23-year-old, who won the Athens Marathon last November, was provisionally suspended in June by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) of the World Athletics Federation (IAAF).
This year, two other Kenyan long-distance runners have been banned for doping for four years.
